This is the project I'm currently working on. Started as a personal project, TasteKid has received an investment and is now incorporated as TasteKid, Inc. This allows me to continue my sustained work of improving this service.
Emmy takes as input your preferences in terms of bands, movies, shows, books and/or authors and gives suggestions about what else you would probably like.
There are lots of things to be done to improve Emmy's performance and popularity, some of these things being the subject of my current preoccupation.

This is the front-end of my graduation project. In one interpretation, Smartlearned stands for SMART LEarning ARtificial News EDitor. This title tries to describe what this application actually does. Behind every edition of this online publication there is a process of selection. The difference between this website and a regular IT news website is that the role of the human editor is taken by the artificial editor. Along with the editor itself, other application components make this online publication to manage itself, being completely autonomous (no humans involved).
The learning part is related to the way the artificial editor evaluates each article. Its evaluation is based on the popularity of previous articles published on the website. In other words, it learns from its users which subjects are more interesting to them and adapts its editorial policy accordingly.
Online since May 2007, inactive, learning stopped. In need of a decent design. In need of some updates (adding news sources, more).
An one-article website (sorry, Romanian only) that performs a critical analysis of the Romanian Educational System in a structural manner, trying to highlight the depth of the problems that concern this domain and providing some insight, explanations and possible solutions.

This is a very simple website that I've created as an experiment. It enables the user to post a short message on the main page in a straightforward manner.
If it will behave well, I'll make time to improve this application, at least design-wise. As for functionality, I want to keep it as simple as possible.

A sort of journal of Emmy’s life as a web application, this blog will try to capture the milestones, the problems encountered and the lessons learned during this period in which I’m taking care of this project. I’m also thinking that a blog that follows a web start-up throughout its evolution, beginning with its first steps, may prove valuable for others trying to do the same thing, regardless of the specific type of their application and regardless of Taste Kid’s actual success.
